Hello, I’m Norma White, DNP, PMHNP-BC, ACNP-BC, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and the founder of Uplift Health LLC, a virtual psychiatric practice serving adults (18+) and older adults in Pennsylvania and Arizona. With nearly two decades of advanced nursing experience, I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy using a compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered approach. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their treatment journey. My practice focuses on helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and life stressors while working collaboratively to improve overall functioning, resilience, and quality of life.

First session

During your first appointment, we'll spend time getting to know you and gaining a thorough understanding of your concerns, symptoms, medical history, mental health history, current stressors, and treatment goals. This comprehensive evaluation helps ensure that any recommendations are tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. Together, we'll discuss what has been working, what challenges you're facing, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. By the end of the session, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication management, psychotherapy strategies, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals when appropriate. My goal is to create a welcoming, collaborative, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in your care.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is combining nearly two decades of advanced nursing experience with specialized expertise as a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. This background allows me to consider both the mental and physical aspects of health when developing treatment plans, recognizing how medical conditions, medications, lifestyle factors, and emotional well-being often influence one another. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I take time to listen, understand each person's unique experiences, and create individualized treatment plans rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Clients often appreciate that I provide practical tools and education, encourage active participation in treatment decisions, and focus not only on symptom reduction but also on improving overall functioning, resilience, and quality of life. My goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

Ideal clients

I serve adults (18+), and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, stress, burnout, and life transitions. Many of my clients are professionals, students, caregivers, and individuals who feel overwhelmed by persistent symptoms that interfere with their relationships, work, academic performance, or overall well-being. I work best with clients who are seeking a collaborative and goal-oriented approach to treatment and are open to exploring both medication management and therapeutic strategies. Whether the goal is reducing anxiety, improving mood, enhancing focus, building healthier coping skills, healing from past experiences, or improving day-to-day functioning, I help clients develop practical tools and personalized treatment plans that support meaningful and lasting change. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and focused on helping clients feel empowered, supported, and capable of achieving their goals.
