Hello! I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Southern California and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida. With five years of practice, I have worked extensively with adolescents, young adults, and their families. I employ a strength-based approach to support my clients in recognizing and harnessing their strengths and potential.
In our first session, we'll begin with introductions and take some time to get acquainted. We’ll also explore the specific challenges you’re facing and review your intake paperwork along with any follow-up questions. Additionally, we’ll discuss your goals and expectations for therapy. I understand that deciding to see a therapist can be both significant and challenging. My aim for our initial meeting is to understand you better and establish a strong foundation for our future sessions.
Being a teenager, pre-teen, or young adult can be incredibly tough! It’s a time filled with change, challenges, and discovering who you really are. That’s why I absolutely love being a supportive and safe space where you can let it all out, work through problems, and build confidence in yourself. Think of our sessions as a judgment-free zone where you can be yourself, tackle those tough issues, and emerge feeling stronger and more sure of who you are.
I am passionate about working with adolescents and young adults, a commitment I have pursued for over three years in a school setting. In this role, I focus on helping individuals navigate the complexities of their emotions and reduce anxiety. We work collaboratively to explore their unique identities and roles in the world, fostering personal growth and self-discovery. By addressing these critical areas, I aim to support each individual in developing the tools and insights needed to thrive both academically and personally.

When we use our signature strengths, we feel most like ‘us’; we are energized and experience a profound sense of fulfillment in what we are doing (King, 2016). I firmly believe that everyone possesses a unique set of individual strengths. At times, our own blind spots can prevent us from recognizing these strengths. My goal is to assist my clients in identifying and focusing on their inherent strengths and learning how to leverage them to achieve success in their lives.
I have experience with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a goal-oriented therapeutic approach that emphasizes finding solutions rather than focusing on problems. This method is particularly effective in helping clients identify and build on their existing strengths and resources to address their concerns efficiently. By focusing on what is working and building on existing strengths, SFBT empowers clients to make meaningful changes in a relatively short period. This method aligns well with my practice, where the aim is to facilitate positive outcomes efficiently and effectively.
In my experience with Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), I’ve found it to be a deeply rewarding approach for both myself and the clients I work with. I’ve learned that by providing a space where clients feel truly heard and accepted, they are able to open up in ways that allow for profound self-discovery and healing. The core principles of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence guide my practice and shape the way I interact with clients.
In my practice, I use DBT by integrating its core components—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—into the therapeutic process. I focus on teaching clients how to be more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the present moment through mindfulness exercises. This awareness helps them better manage intense emotions and recognize unhealthy patterns.
