Beyond my professional endeavors, I am also a devoted wife to my husband Preston and a proud parent to our 7-year-old daughter named Penelope. Our family is completed by our beloved Aussie Doodle named “Goose”.

Call me Ben! I've been in private practice for 5 years and the mental health field at-large for close to a decade. I'm a big advocate for mindfulness (and ACT) and how it can be used alongside and incorporated into the therapeutic relationship to make tremendous strides in addressing one's mental health. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my wife and our two cats. I love to go hiking and kayaking, am currently learning Spanish and the drums, and love a good gaming session with my friends.

After a career in the corporate world, I "reinvented" by going back to school to obtain a masters degree in counseling. I have worked at the VA, FL civil commitment prison, a psychiatric hospital and for the last five years counsel for a local hospital system serving a diverse population. Married, 5 kids, (3 adopted), cats and dogs, successes and failures in both business and personal life. I continue to learn how to navigate life's challenges and find meaning and purpose helping others. I practice CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, but believe the client's language should drive their journey. Being heard and understood is a partnership. Cultivating peace inside us allows us to see things as they really are. I pledge to always do my best for you.

Treatment goals are focused on developing a better understanding of the self as a person and role in society.
