Anxiety & Sleeplessness Fear, insomnia, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we work towards increasing sleep time, decreasing panic or anxiety attacks or symptoms, fully understanding where overwhelming emotions stem from, and how to move towards being your best self. Relationships Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both partners and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship. Trauma and Healing Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after post-traumatic events. We work together through these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

There is an intake process through grow, and I also ask you specifically for your goals for therapy. In the client centered CBT model I believe the client drives the bus, and I as a therapist assist with some options for paths forward toward the client driven goal.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My main theory is cognitive behavioral therapy, we think about our thinking, review our behaviors and make small changes to work towards your best life. I offer many options on your journey, ultimately you make the decisions on what you want to change. I encourage and challenge you to decide what is feasible to work on each week. Sometimes that is a focus of self-care, sometimes that is a harder task or assignment but you set the tone for what you need to accomplish in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I've worked with the military for over ten years active duty, reserves, veterans, and spouses. I help parents who have lost pregnancies, who are struggling with emotions in the perinatal experience, or postnatal experience. I assist those with high anxiety, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, and PTSD. I assist those with workplace concerns like sexual harassment, workplace harassment, FMLA, EEO, or other complaint processes. I assist the LGBTQIA+ community, Tribal community, Black community, Latino community, Asian community, insert your preferred title here community, Christian/Muslim/Jewish/Other Faith communities. I promise to sit with open ears and an open heart to listen without judgment, learn the constructs of your world, and discern what has worked and what has not.
