New to Grow
Hello, I’m Karim Escobar-Franklin, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I provide trauma-informed, strengths-based therapy to help clients navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, family conflict, parenting concerns, and life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to build on their strengths and create meaningful change.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit. We will discuss the challenges that brought you to therapy, your personal strengths, and the goals you would like to achieve. You can expect a supportive and collaborative conversation where you are encouraged to share at your own pace. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer understanding of your needs and begin identifying steps toward meaningful growth and positive change.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine compassion with practical skill-building. Clients often appreciate that I create a space where they feel comfortable, respected, and supported while also gaining tools they can apply in their everyday lives. With over 25 years of experience, I have worked extensively with children, families, couples, and adults facing anxiety, trauma, family conflict, parenting challenges, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and focused on helping clients recognize their strengths, increase emotional resilience, and create lasting positive change.
I work best with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges and are ready to make meaningful changes. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, family conflict, parenting concerns, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or stress that is affecting their daily functioning and overall well-being. I am particularly well-positioned to support clients who want to better understand themselves, improve communication, strengthen relationships, develop healthier coping skills, and build emotional resilience. Whether someone is processing past experiences, managing current stressors, or working toward personal growth, I provide a supportive and collaborative environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. As a bilingual therapist, I also enjoy working with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and strive to provide care that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based.
