I believe in acknowledging and honoring the yet untold stories of our lives, especially the messy and imperfect parts. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 13 years of experience as a therapist. Over the years, I've worked with those struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, generalized and social anxiety, self-esteem issues, substance use concerns, suicidal thoughts. life transitions, family conflict, and more. Throughout my career, I've worked in diverse settings, and I truly love connecting with people from various backgrounds, stages of life, and unique life experiences. I also have several years experience in university counseling centers and am especially attuned to working with young adults who may be facing academic challenges, who need support around adjustment to college life, those studying the creative arts, and students struggling with decisions around next steps after graduation.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is dedicated to getting to know you, to genuinely hearing and seeing you, and to creating connection. I'd love to learn about your hopes and goals for therapy, and If this is your first time seeing a therapist, I’m ready to answer absolutely any questions you may have , or talk through worries or concerns. Whether you're ready to dive right into the issues that brought you here or prefer to slowly get to know each other by talking about your pets, your hobbies, your favorite reality show, or anything else—the pace is entirely up to you! As we continue to work together, you will find my style to be warm, validating, and direct. I bring my genuine, authentic self to the therapy space, and will work with you to understand past experiences, identify recurring themes, and uncover patterns, aiming to bring clarity and foster change. For those who prefer a more structured, goal-oriented approach, another important part of my work with you is to help you discover and develop your own abilities, skills, and strengths- turning them into practical coping skills that can be used in your everyday life outside of sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am committed to creating a comfortable, safe environment where I can sit with you through even the most difficult or intense emotions. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to be fully present with you in these moments, offering unwavering compassion and understanding. On the flip side, I also find it important to celebrate the joys and accomplishments in your life with you, and to find humor and light in life's little surprises and absurdities.
