(she/her)
With over a decade of experience in healthcare, I bring a diverse clinical background to my work in mental health. I began my career as a Registered Nurse in 2013 and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018, with experience in surgical oncology, gynecology, correctional health, and intensive care. Most recently, I completed a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Miami, allowing me to offer comprehensive, integrative mental health care. I’m a proud daughter of Dominican parents, fluent in both English and Spanish, and deeply connected to the unique experiences of multicultural and military families, having grown up in a military household myself. I live in Miami with my two children, who continue to inspire my personal and professional growth. I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to prioritize mental health while juggling life’s demands. That’s why I’m passionate about creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to take meaningful steps toward healing—through therapy, medication management, or both. In my free time, I enjoy journaling, reading, traveling with friends, and recharging through music.
In our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you—your history, how long you’ve been experiencing symptoms, what treatments or medications you’ve tried, and what’s helped or hasn’t. I want to understand not just your challenges, but also who you are as a person. Together, we’ll clarify your goals for therapy and start creating a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you.
What sets my approach apart is my ability to genuinely relate. As a single mother of two who’s faced my own traumas and done the work to heal and grow, I bring more than just clinical knowledge—I bring lived experience. I don’t speak from a textbook; I speak from a place of empathy, resilience, and real understanding. My clients often tell me they feel seen, heard, and supported in a way that feels honest and human
I work best with individuals who are ready for change—even if they’re not quite sure where to start. I connect especially well with clients who are motivated to do the work, even if life feels overwhelming. I’m particularly passionate about supporting those navigating depression, anxiety, and the constant hustle of everyday life. Together, we slow things down, explore what’s getting in the way, and build sustainable tools for long-term relief and growth.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help patients identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to their difficulties. Together, we explore how these patterns impact their emotions and daily functioning. I collaborate closely with each patient to develop concrete, goal-oriented strategies that promote healthier thinking and behavior. My approach is structured, supportive, and focused on building practical skills that patients can use beyond our sessions.

Stephanie is amazing. My previous dr did not care about my progress, just keep changing my meds without talking about how I was feeling or anything. Stephanie talks with me about my plan and care! Thank you for making me feel like a person!

Stephanie was very knowledgeable in the medication I needed and was down to earth. So grateful for someone that is helping lead me to the mental place I want to be in!
