LPC, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello! My name is Leila, and I have been a counselor for over 5 years. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with both children and adults from various walks of life. I specialize in supporting individuals who have struggled with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I hold a degree in Mental Health and Art Therapy, which allows me to incorporate creative methods into the healing process.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get the whole picture of your background, current concerns, and goals through an intake process. This allows me to understand your needs and helps us determine if we’re a good fit to work together. It’s a collaborative and welcoming space to begin your therapeutic journey.
I believe in addressing not just the symptoms but the whole person, considering their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. My direct approach ensures that we tackle issues head-on, fostering an environment of honesty and transparency. Additionally, I incorporate creative techniques tailored to each individual's unique needs.
I create a safe and supportive environment where you can openly discuss things you might not feel comfortable sharing with others. Together, we will work on understanding yourself better, uncovering patterns, and fostering personal growth. I look forward to working with you on your journey toward growth and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. In therapy, clients learn to recognize unhelpful thoughts, challenge them, and replace them with more balanced perspectives. Through practical techniques and exercises, CBT supports healthier coping skills and promotes positive behavior change.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build healthy coping skills. In therapy, clients learn mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to create balance between acceptance and change in their lives.
An eclectic approach in therapy combines techniques from different therapeutic models to best meet each client’s unique needs. Therapists draw from various methods—such as CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches—to create a flexible, personalized treatment plan that supports growth and healing.
