As a therapist, I am someone who genuinely cares about the mental health and well-being of my clients. I care about the whole person—their thoughts, emotions, experiences, relationships, identity, and the holistic expression of who they are. I believe therapy is not simply about treating a problem; it is about developing insight, building skills, understanding patterns, and creating the capacity to become a healthier and more authentic version of oneself. I love witnessing the growth process. There is something powerful about watching a person begin to understand themselves differently, recognize their own strength, and realize that they have choices they may not have seen before.

Strengths

One of the greatest strengths I bring to my sessions is my ability to connect with clients on a deeply empathic and intuitive level. I listen not only to what clients say, but also to the emotions, patterns, and experiences that may exist beneath their words. I believe we are all sources of energy, and how we direct that energy can influence how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. I believe that what we consistently put into the world can shape what we invite back into our lives. For me, this is not about blaming people for what happens to them. It is about empowering clients to recognize what is within their control. I help clients become more aware of the thoughts, behaviors, emotional patterns, and choices that may be influencing their lives. With greater awareness comes the opportunity to make different choices—choices that may be more aligned with their values, goals, and desired lifestyle. I encourage clients to ask themselves: What am I putting into the world? What patterns continue to show up in my life? What is within my control? And what could change if I began directing my energy differently? I believe meaningful change requires intention, honesty, effort, and action. My role is to help clients identify what may be holding them back while developing practical tools to move forward. Ultimately, I bring empathy, intuition, insight, authenticity, and a belief in human potential into the therapeutic relationship. I do not believe therapy is about telling someone who they should become. I believe it is about helping people become more aware of who they are, understand what they are creating, recognize the choices available to them, and take intentional steps toward the life they want. Awareness creates choice. Choice creates action. And intentional action creates the possibility for change.

Treatment methods

Compassion Focused

I practice a great deal of compassion-focused therapy because I recognize that many people enter therapy carrying significant amounts of shame. Clients may be hard on themselves because of things that have happened to them, things they have done to others, or things they believe they should have done but did not. Often, they have spent considerable time judging themselves for their experiences rather than understanding them. I believe one of the most important things we can offer clients is compassion. Compassion creates a space where people can be honest about who they are, what they have experienced, and what they want to change without feeling stigmatized or judged. When clients are given room to explore themselves with compassion, they can begin to understand their behaviors, thoughts, emotions, and experiences from a different perspective. My role is not to tell clients who they should be or to force them to change according to someone else's expectations. Instead, I believe therapy should provide clients with the safety, support, and insight necessary to recognize what they want to change and why that change matters to them. When people are given the opportunity to make changes on their own merit, those changes can become more meaningful and sustainable. Ultimately, I want clients to leave therapy with a greater sense of self-compassion and a willingness to see themselves and their circumstances differently. Sometimes change begins simply by giving ourselves permission to acknowledge that we are human, that we have made mistakes, that we have experienced difficult things, and that we still deserve compassion. My goal is to create that space so clients can discover their own capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change.
