Hello! My name is Erica Hughes and I am a Licensed Profressional Clincial Counselor. I graduated from Webster Universtity with a degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have over 7 years experience working with clients to become the best versions of themselves. I work with young adults on life transitions, healthy relationships and becoming confident. I also work with clients that struggle with anxiety, depression and past trauma.
In the first session, we will discuss expectations, struggles, and challenges they may be facing as well as my style of therapy. I discuss with them how I want to build a rapport so they are comfortable speaking with me on issues.
I discuss childhood to help the client have an understanding of how they have come as far as they have in life by connecting those dots. I also give homework assignments as I feel that it's not so much what you do in session but more about how you put these strategies to work in their daily lives.
I love working with young adult women trying to find their way. I enjoy guiding them on their path while working on struggles and how to manage stressors as they are a part of their daily lives.
In my experience, eclectic therapy can be particularly helpful for clients who may not fully resonate with one specific therapeutic approach. By offering a blend of techniques and interventions, I can create a therapy experience that feels more tailored and relevant to each individual client.
