I am so proud of you for showing up for yourself. My name is Amanda, and I know reaching out can be one of the hardest decisions one can make when it comes to seeking help. But, I am glad you're here. Is your mind full? Are you feeling overwhelmed? Are you unsure of what to do to help yourself? Do you just need someone to talk to and feel truly listened to? I am here to support you in figuring out what you might need to feel and think better about yourself and the life you are experiencing. Together, we can navigate the adversities and create a space for growth, acceptance and peace. In our sessions together, we will focus on creating an alliance built on trust and compassion to better understand and unlock the strength you have within yourself to heal and grow. I appreciate your trust in working with me, and look forward to learning from one another!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together could feel like a lot, but don't stress it! In our first session, we will start with introductions and then ease into all the therapy formalities. We will talk about our expectations for our therapeutic relationship, review all things confidentiality and paperwork and then start talking about what ignited the fire in you to talk to someone. We will talk about creating goals that help guide our work together.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize various treatment methods including TF-CBT (Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy) to better meet the needs of my clients during their treatment journey while incorporating trauma-informed, person-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused approaches/tools to provide individualized effective treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have dedicated my career to learning how to be a more trauma-informed provider as I strongly believe that we have all experienced adversities that have greatly impacted us, and we do not always know how to. I wanted to figure out how to support humans through those hardest moments because you are deserving of that. I am currently certified in Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Psychological First Aid. I will remain dedicated to furthering my education through tainings and certifications.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients that understand that therapy requires a lot of internal hard work. I promise to always try to work as hard as you do.
