(she/her)
My purpose in my career is to guide my clients to a more joyful, validated, and empowered life. I specialize in treating addictive behaviors, anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, codependency, and relational struggles. I thoroughly believe in transparency and explaining the why behind every intervention that I suggest. I utilize multiple modalities based upon the client’s strengths, including, but not limited to: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, expressive therapies, existential therapy, exposure therapy, recovery coaching, psychoeducation, solution focused therapy, mindfulness based therapy, narrative therapy, Gottman strategies, and harm reduction. I have extensive experience working in individual, couples, family, outpatient, and inpatient settings. As a person in long-term recovery and a sur-thriver through adverse life experiences, my heart and passion are in helping individuals and families learn and overcome their challenging experiences, reclaim their power, and live a fulfilled, joyful life.
It’s imperative to your healing that you feel comfortable with me, so, in our first session we’ll get to know each other and ensure that we will be a good fit. I will answer any questions or concerns that you have and describe my therapeutic process. After we’ve identified the challenges and the goals you want to achieve, I will create a tailored treatment plan for you and we can get to work.
My niche would be addictive behaviors, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, existential anxiety, and codependency.
Clients struggling with substance use disorders, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, failure to launch, quarter-life crises, existential anxiety. Families struggling with substance use.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
“ACT helps clients to acknowledge their relationship with their thoughts and feelings. Understand their feelings instead of changing them. Reframe their values. Adjust their behaviors to better match their values. Increase psychological flexibility. Live a life consistent with their values.”
Attachment-based
Attachment style is an important viewpoint of relational understanding and management. Understanding the why behind problematic behaviors within a relational dynamic will help to eliminate confusion and conflict.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT allows us to change the way that we view ourselves and the world. It allows us to challenge subjective ideas and frameworks (cognitively and behaviorally) that no longer serve us.
Daialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT strategies will be used for mood regulation, impulse control, and challenging negative ideas.

I look forward to my sessions because of the space Ashly creates. I don’t feel like I’m in a debate. I don’t feel like I’m pleading my case about anything. I’ve had five sessions so far and I’m now coming to realization that I’ve been desperate. for a space to express my thoughts and feelings without anyone passing judgment or over, sharing their opinion or pushing their ideals on me . I am both pleased and grateful for the MrsHarms

I am someone that is used to therapy but hasn’t been to therapy in many years and it’s nice to feel like I have that space again that I lost .to speak freely and openly about what’s going on in my head to someone that’s not gonna judge me for it.

She has helped me create a wonderful toolbox of coping skills that I use every day and I couldn't be more grateful to have her on my team!
