Life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and challenging, especially when we fall into old patterns that no longer serve us. However, despite these challenges, I know that you are resilient. You made the courageous choice to address your issues. I would love the opportunity to work with you, making the most of your innate strengths, as we work towards Improved functioning and resolution of what concerns you most. I am proud to say that I have over 20 years experience working as a behavioral health therapist. I help adults recover from traumatic experiences by building a strong rapport, establishing trust, and using interventions to get results. I am passionate about skill building and helping individuals feel empowered. I started my Master’s at Rollins College and completed it at University of Miami. I am a National Certified Counselor, and I have extensive training in trauma resolution and DBT interventions. I also use CBT, somatic, and brain- based interventions. Reflecting, I feel that I have always been on a journey of helping individuals uncover the impact of trauma on their current life functioning. I am passionate about helping them achieve integration and healing. While trauma resolution is my specialty, I am adept at serving individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life issues, relationship, and communication challenges. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Initially, I'm seeking to build a rapport with my client and get an understanding of issues bringing them into therapy. Of course, this will look a bit different with each client. You should expect more clarity with each session and or to have a new tool to practice- gaining insight and building skills as needed.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I would describe myself as eclectic as I tend to pull from different therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also utilize some family systems and brain-based interventions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe the therapeutic rapport is the most important intervention and creating a space for the client to feel safe to share is a one of my strengths.
