Sheila Bryant
Hello. I am Sheila Bryant, LCSW-C, founder of Simply Living Blessed, LLC. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland. I have provided therapy individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults for 20+ years. I am a compassionate client-centered therapist that is dedicated to helping adolescents (15+) and adults move through life with resilience and clarity. I happily serve individuals from diverse backgrounds including people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to provide compassionate, quality mental health support that helps you move through pain, navigate life’s challenges, and journey toward healing, wholeness, and your most fulfilling life.
First session
In the first session I will seek to establish a rapport, begin to build a relationship, understand who you are, where you came from, what you are looking for and where you would like to go.
Strengths
When working with clients I always bring myself, my personality, my whit and a bit of humor and sarcasm (when appropriate) to therapy sessions. I also bring my lived experience to my sessions.
Ideal clients
I desire to work people who are willing to look in the mirror, get comfortable with the uncomfortable, face the realities of themselves and do the hard work of healing. One thing that I understand is that I as the therapist is not the person who has to do the hard work and the heavy lifting.........the client is! If you are willing to do the work, if you are willing to be challenged, if your willing to grow and learn about yourself and do the work of healing.....then I am the therapist for you. I work with clients who also struggle with depression, anxiety and other life issues.
