Hi, I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Chicago, IL. I have studied at the Walden University, where I have obtained a Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. I do works with adolescents, adults, and older adults, and provides care for patients who are battling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, schizophrenia, substance abuse, PTSD, insomnia, and other psychiatric mental health disorders. I have extensive training and over 10 years of experience with behavioral health. I have the required skills and clinical knowledge to evaluate, diagnose, and treat clients with mental health disorders. My treatment approach is rooted in evidenced-based practices that focus on improving psychiatric mental health and saving lives. I do believe that my practices can assist any patient to overcome any obstacles. I have been using extraordinary approach of treating psychiatric and behavioral issues that results in long-lasting life changes using educational researched care.
The first session includes self-questionnaires about presenting symptoms and past psychiatric history. The Clinicians will perform complete assessment to formulate accurate diagnosis per DSM-5.
I have provided care for many veterans at 6 different inpatients facilities, and I have formulated treatment plan for many adolescents at multiple Teaching Hospitals in the last 10 years, where I gained modern treatment approaches for psychiatric mental illness across the life span. I have been supporting the used of evidenced-based therapy, which have been the important part of my practice in achieving quality patient’s outcomes
I have encouraged holistic approaches to mental health by providing psychotherapy that includes educating clients on how to replace negative thoughts with realistic thoughts. My main goals for my patients include minimizing any symptoms of anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorder, addictive disorder, trauma related disorder, and depression, while improving patient’s overall well-being and safety.
