New to Grow
I am licensed in Texas with 4 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & parenting issues. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
The "Spill the Beans" Session Your first session has one purpose , to give you space to talk, and give me space to truly listen. I call it the Spill the Beans session because that is exactly what it is. No agenda, no pressure, no right or wrong way to show up. This is your opportunity to share your story in your own words, at your own pace. Whatever has been weighing on you, whatever brought you here, whatever you have been carrying, this is the space to let it out. While you talk, I listen. Not just to your words, but to the experiences behind them. I am piecing together your history, your patterns, your pain points, and your strengths to build a clear picture of how we got here. Every detail you share, big or small, helps me understand you more fully. By the end of our first session, I will have what I need to begin crafting a therapeutic journey that is designed specifically for you. Not a cookie cutter plan, not a one size fits all approach, but a roadmap built around your story, your goals, and where you want to go. You do not have to have it all figured out before you walk in. You just have to be willing to spill the beans.
I come to every session as an excavator. I listen carefully, ask the right questions, and pay attention to what lies beneath the surface of what you share. The stories you tell, the patterns you describe, the moments that shaped you, all of it holds clues. My job is to sift through the layers until we uncover the treasure that was there all along. Your resilience. Your wisdom. Your capacity for healing. It is in there, and we will find it together. Every person has a sweet spot. A specific place in their story where the real work begins. I call it the metal detector moment, the point in our conversation where something signals that we have found exactly where we need to start digging. You may not always recognize it right away, but I will. It is the place beneath the surface where the root of what you are carrying lives. Once we find it, we do not avoid it. We go there together, carefully and intentionally, because that is where the most meaningful healing happens. Healing does not only happen in the therapy room. At the end of every session I will send you off with a task, something specific and intentional designed to keep the excavation going between our meetings. These tasks are not busywork. They are purposeful extensions of what we uncovered together, invitations to keep exploring, reflecting, and growing until we meet again. The treasure is already there. Let's go find it.
My ideal client is someone who is ready. Not perfect, not without fear or doubt, but ready. Ready to show up, do the work, and commit to something greater than where they are right now. You are someone who knows that healing is not passive. You understand that growth requires honesty, effort, and a willingness to look at the parts of yourself that are uncomfortable. You come to sessions prepared to reflect, to be challenged, and to challenge yourself. You believe in evidence of change. You want to see it, feel it, and track it. You are willing to put pen to paper, complete exercises between sessions, and take what we build in the therapy room into your everyday life. You are open. Open to the process, open to new perspectives, and open to the possibility that things can be different. You may not have all the answers, but you are willing to ask the questions. You are not looking for someone to fix you. You are looking for a partner in your healing journey, someone to walk alongside you as you do the work you were always capable of doing. If that sounds like you, you are in the right place.

Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a style of therapy built around one simple idea — you already have the answers inside you. I won't tell you what to do. Instead, I'll ask questions, listen deeply, and help you get clear on what you truly want and why it matters to you. Together, we'll explore what's holding you back and build the confidence to move forward at your own pace, in your own way. It's not about being pushed. It's about being heard.
