Hi there! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, I approach my practice with unconditional positive regard and mutual collaboration with those I work with. My primary focus lies with emerging adults, children, and teens; supporting them in their journey as they navigate their experiences and the ever flowing changes and transitions; including stress, trauma, grief, anxiety, and more. I began my clinical career as a therapist for children and teens who faced severe trauma in the foster care system; eventually becoming a school based therapist, prior to starting my private practice. Because of my experience in both home and school settings with children and teens, I am aware of how challenging navigating these spaces can be for our children, and I prioritize providing a space to process and tools to manage heavy emotions and overwhelm. I pull modalities which include Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, and person centered, making sure to adjust my interventions to support my clients appropriately and with a trauma informed lens. I consider it an honor to walk alongside those I work with, towards the path that will lead them to self love, confidence, processing difficult experiences and emotions, and strengthening their own abilities on their personal path towards empowerment. It takes profound courage to share your story in therapy, and I make sure to listen, understand, and honor what you bring to the session at every meeting.  Please note, Initial assessments/intakes with children will require parent/legal guardian participation. Additionally, an adult must be present at the location of therapy services if client is a minor.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I prioritize establishing safety and trust with you first and foremost. This means I make sure to take time to get to know you, and not just what brings you to therapy. I seek to understand and identify your inner strengths and how we can use these strengths to support your journey in therapy. I will ask clarifying questions to make sure I am understanding what you would like to gain from our work together.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I work with you to identify modalities that fit your needs, including acceptance and commitment, narrative therapy techniques, grounding/relaxation skills, TF-CBT, and person centered. I follow a strengths-based framework that focuses on respect, unconditional positive regard, and reframing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have spent the majority of my professional career working with youth; primarily adolescents navigating the foster care system, experiencing severe trauma. As a result, I approach my sessions and practice using a trauma-focused lens. I understand that seeking therapy can sometimes be a challenge; and I work hard to create a space that is safe, at your pace, and built on trust.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have significant experience working with children, teens, and young adults.
