Hi! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Miami, originally from New Jersey. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Miami and my dual Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Barry University. I see therapy as a space to help you live more authentically and in alignment with your values by tapping into your strengths, breaking unwanted patterns, healing from traumatic experiences, and building healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. My approach is integrative, collaborative, and practical, with an emphasis on self-compassion, constructive accountability, and tools you can use outside of session. Faith-based counseling (Christian) is available upon request.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll start with an intake. I’ll ask a range of questions to understand the different areas of your life and how they may connect to the reason and goals for therapy, so we can gather as many “pieces of the puzzle” early and reduce surprises later. The intake is structured to help us build a timeline of key life experiences, and I’ll check in along the way about what feels comfortable to discuss and what feels most relevant to you. I typically save the main reason you’re seeking therapy for the end, because the earlier questions help you ease in and often bring clarity and context. By that point, we can expand on what you shared throughout the intake, name anything we have not covered yet, and make sure it’s included, so you can feel more comfortable being honest about what’s really going on.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I create a space that feels safe and compassionate, while keeping sessions constructive and meaningful. I’m good at helping you connect the dots and stay aligned with your values, especially when anxiety, grief, trauma, or relationship patterns are involved. I explain things in a way that makes sense, so you understand what’s happening and leave with clear tools to use between sessions. Clients often share that they feel understood and supported. If it would be helpful for you, we can also integrate Christian faith values into our healing work upon request.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You may be a great fit if you feel overwhelmed by grief, anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, or an inner critic that never shuts off, especially if life challenges or past experiences still feel emotionally activating. I work with adults 18+ and specialize in grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress and anger, self-esteem, and relationship challenges across dating, family, friendships, and work. My style balances compassion with constructive accountability, and I offer practical tools to use between sessions. I bring warmth and appropriate humor to help you feel safe and understood, because I believe laughter can be healing. Faith-based (Christian) counseling is available upon request, and I respect all belief systems, including atheism and agnosticism. Please note: I do not participate in legal proceedings and do not provide court-related documentation, testimony, or FMLA/disability paperwork. Please consult with your primary care provider or another medical professional for those services.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We map the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, then work together to shift from unwanted patterns to healthier ones. You’ll leave with practical tools to practice between sessions.

EMDR

We work together to help your brain and body “digest” and “file away” experiences that still feel unresolved. We move at your pace and use guided techniques to reduce the emotional intensity, so you feel more grounded, calm, and in control.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

We explore the different “parts” of you with curiosity instead of judgment, such as the anxious part, people-pleaser, or inner critic. The goal is to help your healthier core "self" lead with self-compassion and clarity, so you make choices that feel calmer, more confident, and aligned with your values.

Christian Counseling

Optional for clients who want to integrate Christian faith practices into therapy alongside evidence-based clinical support to support healing.

Integrative

I tailor therapy to your goals by blending approaches that explore past and present patterns, including existing trauma responses, that impact how you relate to yourself and others. I commonly support anxiety relief, grief and loss, stress and anger, and healing across all kinds of relationships (dating, family, friendships, and work), with a focus on insight to promote meaningful change so you feel and function better.
