I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human relationship. My goal is to create an environment where you feel accepted, challenged, and supported—not judged. I'll celebrate your successes with you, help you make sense of the difficult moments, and gently point out the patterns that may be holding you back. I bring curiosity, humor, and compassion into my work because meaningful growth doesn't have to happen in a room that feels cold or intimidating.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I'll spend time learning about what's bringing you to therapy, what you've already tried, and what you'd like your life to look like moving forward. You'll also have the chance to ask questions about my approach and decide whether we're a good fit. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can go together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take an integrative, collaborative approach to therapy because no single method fits every person. My work draws from person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), existential therapy, motivational interviewing, strengths-based therapy, and narrative approaches. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, develop practical coping skills, and build on your existing strengths so you can make meaningful, lasting changes in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are children, adolescents, college students, and young adults who are navigating important transitions in life and want to better understand themselves. While they may be struggling with anxiety, ADHD, grief, trauma, perfectionism, identity, motivation, or self-confidence, they are also looking for more than symptom relief; they want to build a healthier, more fulfilling life. They're open to reflecting on their experiences, learning practical skills, and working collaboratively toward meaningful, long-term growth, one step at a time.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is much more than relaxation, it is a skill that helps train attention, improve focus, and build resilience. Whether you're managing anxiety, ADHD, perfectionism, trauma, or the stress of school, work, or athletics, mindfulness can help you become more intentional in how you respond to life's challenges. Together, we'll practice simple, evidence-informed mental skill training techniques that strengthen emotional regulation, reduce automatic stress responses, and improve your ability to stay grounded during difficult moments. The goal isn't to eliminate uncomfortable emotions, but to build the confidence and flexibility to navigate them effectively.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our brains naturally develop habits of thinking and responding based on past experiences, and sometimes those habits help us, while other times they keep us stuck. I use CBT as a structured way to recognize these patterns and intentionally build healthier ones through consistent practice. In therapy, we'll explore the thoughts and behaviors that influence your well-being while developing practical skills you can continue practicing outside of session. Homework isn't about getting it "right"—it's about experimenting, gathering information, and strengthening the habits that support long-term emotional health.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-responsive care is rooted in the understanding that many of our emotional and behavioral patterns developed for good reasons, even if they no longer serve us today. Rather than viewing these patterns as flaws to eliminate, we'll approach them with curiosity, compassion, and a desire to understand how they've helped you adapt. Together, we'll build a therapeutic relationship grounded in safety and trust while developing practical skills to regulate emotions, strengthen resilience, and create new ways of responding to life's challenges. Healing isn't about erasing the past—it's about expanding your capacity to live fully in the present and move confidently toward the future.

Narrative

While we can't rewrite the events of our past, we can decide how those experiences influence the chapters that come next. Narrative therapy encourages us to look beyond labels and diagnoses to understand the larger story of your life. Throughout our work together, we'll explore how your experiences have shaped your identity while identifying opportunities to write new chapters grounded in your strengths, values, and goals. Therapy becomes a place where your story continues to grow rather than remaining defined by previous challenges.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe meaningful change begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and authenticity. Person-Centered Therapy recognizes that people already possess the capacity for growth, and my role is not to tell you who you should become, but to help you better understand yourself and move toward the person you want to be. My goal is to create an environment where you feel accepted for who you are today while also feeling supported and challenged to continue growing.
