Hi there! I'm Angel. As a counselor, I specialize in helping people navigate the struggles and messiness of life - whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, or even just figuring out, "What's next?" in those big life transitions. I don't believe that counseling is a magic pill or even that it provides all the solutions to every problem. However, with a little humility and the desire for more than what you are currently experiencing, I am certain that our journey will result in a spark of hope for a greater tomorrow.
The first session can always feel intimidating and somewhat awkward. I understand that reality and work extremely hard to make sure every client feels heard and validated regarding the challenges they bring to the therapeutic table. I think it's important for clients to get to know my therapeutic style and explore if I am the right fit for them. I look forward to getting to know each other on the first session and creating a therapeutic map to help you build the life you desire.
I practice from an empathetic, non-judgmental, and creative space, incorporating humor, genuineness, and support as we work together to build one of counseling's greatest strengths - the client and therapist relationship. My therapeutic approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, person-centered practices, and existentialism, with the goal of empowering you to rewrite your story and live with purpose.
I have a rich history of working with clients from all ages and walks of life. The clients I love to serve are those who are teachable and eager to get into action. Therapy is hard work and requires great commitment to achieve great results. If you are ready to work, then I am ready to partner with you and work alongside you to achieve the goals you see for your future.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy stems from the belief that a person's thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected. By changing unhealthy or unhelpful thoughts, or perceptions, of the events a person experiences, he or she can influence their emotions and behaviors in ways that will bring healing, self-control, and stability to their lives.
Narrative therapy is founded on the belief that humans are story tellers. People view their lives through the lens of the story they're actively telling. The interpretation of the experiences lived shape the narrative that people believe about their story, themselves, and the world around them. Narrative therapy provides hope and support by helping individuals reshape the story they tell and believe about their lives.
Existential therapy focuses on exploring the fundamental aspects of human existence. Individuals are encouraged to confront the darkness in their lives and find their own sense of meaning within the human experience. Clients will explore the big questions of life relating to meaning and purpose, freedom and responsibility, isolation and connection, and death and mortality.
Person-centered therapy is founded on the belief that clients have the ability to guide their own healing process. Therapists create an environment based on support, empathy, and genuineness to foster a client's capacity for self-understanding and person growth.

Starting this journey into telehealth together both as a client and for a provider; I rather enjoy attempting to learn and grow together both utilizing the available technology while also having direct responses to my concerns and worries. I feel heard. I feel comfortable expressing my issues knowing my vulnerability won't be weaponized. His teachings have an unbiased approach which I truly appreciate. Thank you
