Change in life is inevitable, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay stuck in the chaos. My passion is helping people learn how to handle life changes successfully. I love seeing people grow and blossom as they overcome the challenges life throws their way. I help my clients thrive by aiding them to identify the patterns and habits that interfere with their growth. I believe my job is to empower you to improve your life. Therapy isn’t a one size fits all. I use a collaborative approach to identify your goals, and we work together so you can achieve them. My therapeutic style is eclectic and as a result, I’m able to adapt to effectively work with a variety of people and issues. I currently see adults (aged 18 - 60) and as of today, June 2 2025, I have multiple daytime openings. My schedule can change each week so the Grow calendar isn’t able to reflect openings accurately. Grow doesn’t allow you to communicate with me directly unless you’re a current client, so if you’d like to work with me I encourage you to schedule a consultation to discuss my availability.
In our first session, we'll review the forms you filled out prior to the appointment and discuss more about what's bringing you to therapy. I also ask more about your history to gain a better understanding of who you are. Sometimes we set goals in the first meeting, but often this happens during the second session after we've both had some time to think. Subsequent sessions focus on getting comfortable with each other and starting to work on the goals you've picked out.
I believe my strengths are that I connect fairly easily with most people and my ability to find positives about anyone. My clients tend to improve their self-image even when this isn't a specified goal.
I work exclusively with adults (ages 18-60). I tend to work very well with anxiety and adjustment challenges. My caseload tends to have a fairly eclectic mix of areas of need.
I am person-centered, strengths-based, and tend to be fairly fluid to go with what intervention seems like it will be most effective in the moment given the client I'm with. I use a variety of techniques and approaches based on what the person I'm working with needs at the time. I've had training in multiple types of treatments but find myself using a lot of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
