(she/her)
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with older adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My goal is to provide a supportive and thoughtful space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. With a background in neuroscience and clinical mental health counseling, I bring both a scientific and compassionate perspective to therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
During our first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and talking about what has brought you to therapy. I will ask questions to better understand your current concerns, how they are affecting your life, and what you hope to gain from therapy. This session also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether the space feels comfortable and supportive for you. Together, we will begin identifying goals and discussing how we might work toward meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based care. I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. I have also received formal training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My background in neuroscience also informs my understanding of how thoughts, emotions, and physical responses interact, helping clients develop practical tools for emotional regulation, resilience, and long-term well-being. I approach this work with curiosity, respect, and a genuine commitment to understanding each client’s unique experiences.
I work best with individuals who are looking to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. Many of my clients are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in difficult patterns, or struggling with anxiety, trauma, or significant life stress. They are often thoughtful and motivated individuals who want to develop healthier ways of coping, improve relationships, and feel more balanced and grounded in their daily lives.
Trauma Informed Care
I use a trauma-informed approach in my work, recognizing how past experiences can influence emotional health, relationships, and responses to stress. My goal is to create a supportive and respectful environment where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I work collaboratively with clients to build coping skills and process experiences at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy by helping clients identify their strengths and focus on practical steps toward meaningful change. Rather than concentrating only on problems, we explore what is already working in your life and build on those successes. This approach helps clients develop realistic goals and practical strategies for moving forward.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop practical strategies for creating healthier ways of thinking and responding to challenges. This approach focuses on building skills that support lasting change and improved well-being.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients process and reduce the impact of distressing or traumatic experiences. This evidence-based approach helps the brain reprocess difficult memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming. EMDR can support healing by allowing clients to move forward with greater emotional balance and resilience.
Biofeedback
I incorporate biofeedback techniques to help clients become more aware of how their body responds to stress and emotions. By learning to recognize and regulate physiological responses such as breathing, muscle tension, and heart rate, clients can develop greater control over stress and anxiety. This approach helps build practical skills that support relaxation, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
