Hello and welcome to MindWell Counseling, LLC! My name is Katie Crow (she/her), LISW-S, LCSW and I am the owner of MindWell Counseling, LLC. I am a licensed clinical mental health therapist and hold my Masters degree in Social Work from The University of Akron. I originally began my career in the corporate HR world and after 10 years decided I wasn’t following my true passion. My passion is working with adults who are on a journey of self-growth. I started MindWell Counseling, LLC in 2022 because life has been more difficult over the past few years, and wanted to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to express your thoughts, feelings and to be yourself. I believe each person can heal and my role is to provide you with support, feedback, education, and therapeutic interventions so you can. I utilize a collaborative and strengths-based approach to counseling and provide a warm, empathetic and compassionate environment (and maybe a little humor). Reaching out for counseling is courageous and the first step in the healing process. Whether this is your first time or your 100th time in therapy, my objective is for you to achieve your goals. I look forward to being a part of your path to healing!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
My approach is based on the individual and their unique goals. I work collaboratively with my clients on how we can best meet their needs. Together we will: focus on your needs, improve your relationships, confidently and assertively handle work stressors and to build on your already awesome parenting skills. We will work together to build coping skills, learn to communicate your boundaries and triggers and be the best version of yourself.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I have training in several different therapeutic interventions (CBT, EMDR) that help you gain new insights into your negative beliefs about yourself and to reframe your thoughts to develop healthy behaviors. Together we will create an individualized plan for you to learn new coping skills, build your self worth and to learn how to better balance the many roles you have in your life.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I specialize in working with individuals who struggle to focus on the most important person in their life: YOU! I can help you learn how to balance the different aspects of your life: relationships, work, parenting, while still focusing on your needs.
