I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who cares deeply about supporting people through the complexities of their mental and emotional health. I bring a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth presence to my work, and I value creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard. My philosophy of care is guided by curiosity and acceptance. I believe every person has a story, and that taking the time to understand each individual's experiences, strengths, and challenges is essential to meaningful healing. My background includes outpatient, telehealth, and emergency psychiatric settings, where I developed strong skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. I have a particular interest in working with individuals impacted by trauma, life transitions, and cultural or immigration-related stressors.

First session

In our first session, my goal is to create a calm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We will spend time getting to know you -- your story, current concerns, and what has or hasn't felt helpful in the past. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your symptoms, experiences, and goals, while also making space for what feels most important to you in that moment. Together, we will begin to clarify next steps and discuss treatment options, including whether medication may be helpful. Above all, the first session is about building trusts. You can expect a nonjudgmental, collaborative conversation focused on helping you feel supported, understood, and clear about the path forward.

Strengths

One of my strengths is being both direct and warm in my approach. I believe in being honest and clear about what's going on and what will help, while also creating a space where you feel heard, supported, and respected.

Ideal clients

I work best with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are balancing work, parenting, or other responsibilities and feel overwhelmed or stuck. I provide a supportive, practical approach that focuses on helping you feel better and function more effectively in your day-to-day life. Along with medication management, I incorporate brief therapy to help you build coping skills and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Treatment methods

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

I use a solution-focused approach to help clients identify practical, achievable steps toward feeling better. Rather than focusing only on past problems, I work collaboratively with clients to clarify their goals, build on their existing strengths, and develop strategies they can apply in their daily lives. In sessions, I often incorporate brief, targeted interventions alongside medication management to support meaningful and lasting change.
