Michael Schneider
I have 20+ years of outpatient therapeutic intervention experience with helping people change themselves for the better. I use specific, short-term, solution-focused treatment techniques based on insight and behavioral change. I work with a wide range of presenting problems and mood disorders including depression / grief, anxiety/phobias, anger management, adjustment, and bipolar disorder. I focus on rapport and utilization of a client's strengths as a therapeutic foundation.

Get to know each other and establish that we are a good fit to work together. Collect information about your history and identify current reasons for seeking therapy. Discuss potential treatment goals.
Strengths
I believe that the mind and body are deeply connected, and that optimal mental health cannot be achieved without proper nutrition and physical health. I also believe in the power of the conscious as well as the unconscious mind to relieve symptoms and make lasting changes.
Ideal clients
My role is to create real change in people by helping them hear what they need to, in a way that they are able to accept it. Accepting reality is critical to creating positive changes in one's life. I assist with increasing one's understanding of behavior and emotions, developing new behavior and boundaries, and improving communication within relationships
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
