I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 33 years of experience providing counseling. All of these years has given me the knowledge and expertise to help you improve your emotional well-being so you can live your best life. As a therapist, I use a combination of counseling techniques that include, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Mindfulness Therapy and Supportive Therapy. The combination of these therapies is based on your needs and goals and determined during our intake appointment. My areas of specialty are helping those who struggle with anxiety, depression. grief and loss, adjustment issues and family struggles. My goal is to provide a supportive and empathic environment where new skills can be learned and strengths can be enhanced.
On our first visit, I will complete an in-depth assessment to thoroughly understand your symptoms and concerns. We will then work together to create your individualized treatment plan. Throughout this process, you will be provided with a safe and accepting space to process your thoughts and feelings.
I will utilize a combination of treatment methods to help you achieve your objectives. Cognitive Behavioral strategies, Mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Processing skills, strength enhancement and acceptance steps will be explained, demonstrated and taught during sessions to help you achieve your goals.
