Hello, I a am Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am a certified case manager, and certified grief support professional. I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work. I continue to participate in yearly trainings and continued education in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief, individual counseling, and couples counseling. I have been in the field of assisting individuals transform their lives since 2007. I have worked with a diverse groups of individuals including adults with learning disabilities, children and families, individual counseling, couples counseling, and grief support groups. During my 15 years of service, I have worked with individuals in their home setting, office setting, and hospital setting. The one thing that has never changed is my capacity to help individuals transition to a new stage in life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, clients can expect a brief introduction, I will answer any additional questions, we will go over any concerns or potential barriers to their engagement in the therapy process. We will explore the challenges they are facing that requires assistance and create an action plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength I have developed as a provider is my ability to be client-focused. Focusing not only on the problem that needs to be resolved, but focusing on the individual that is experiencing the problem. My over 15 years of experience has greatly helped me develop a flexibility to change the approach needed to help you, knowing there is no one size fits all.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great treatment method to assist individuals with modifying their unwanted or unhelpful behaviors. I have used this method for over 10 years with great results. It requires a partnership between therapist and client, trust and practice. Together we can make it happen!

Faith based therapy

God has given us so many tools to reach a better version of ourselves. We can use those bible principles to see ourselves the same way God sees us. In my practice, if welcomed, bible principles are used in combination with evidenced based practices to help individuals achieve their goals.

Grief Therapy

I have additional certification in Grief Therapy, and have been providing grief support group services since 2014. I also have experience working with individuals in hospice and home health settings. However, any loss can require the grief process to occur. Grief is a journey but it is not a journey that you have to take alone.
