I am dedicated to helping clients build bridges to healthier, happier lives. Are you going through a significant change? Life calls us into constant change. Whether planned and joyful or unexpected and grief-filled, changes in relationships, parenting, or career take their toll on each of us. Healing through grieving, stretching, adjusting, and growing can be blocked when you feel overwhelming emotions, when you are fearful and avoidant of what is to come, and when you simply don't know how to move ahead. I listen to, support, and teach my clients to help reduce anxiety, depression, and stress that come with life transitions.
I will work with you to process the changes, to cope when the hard times are upon you, and to learn skills to improve the daily choices that you make I know that the decision to begin therapy. To admit that you're not sure what comes next in your life, to imagine yourself in a better place takes courage, and I consider it an honor to help.
I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Both are highly effective treatment methods used in the field of psychology. CBT focuses on the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, aiming to identify and challenge negative or unhelpful patterns of thinking. Doing so helps individuals develop healthier and more adaptive ways of thinking, leading to positive changes in their emotions and actions. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) emphasizes mindful acceptance of one's thoughts and emotions while also focusing on taking committed actions toward personal values. It encourages individuals to be present in the moment and accept rather than avoid or struggle with complex thoughts and feelings. ACT helps people understand their values and guides them to make choices aligned with them, leading to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I specialize in helping individuals change how they work, resolve difficult issues, take action, and move forward with their plans. Maybe you feel you have reached a glass ceiling and want to move your personal and professional life forward, yet you don't or can't find the time and space to work ON rather than IN your business.
