Shantrinia Basit

My name is Shantrinia Basit and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I also hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC). I graduated with my masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC), and received my bachelors in Human Services from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I have have worked in the mental Health field for over seven years. I have experience working in schools, the juvenile system, and outpatient treatment. I enjoy encouraging, empowering, and motivating others to be their best self. I enjoy helping others figure out the problem, and work with them to find the best solution. I promote self-care and making yourself a priority. It is important to give to yourself so that you can give to others (Remember that).
First session
In our first session, we will do an assessment and go through lots of questions for me to get to know you, and develop appropriate goals together.
Strengths
My biggest strength is being able to support clients as they transition to putting themselves first and loving themselves more. I provide tools to help you make better choices for yourself whether it is a job or a relationship. I promote self-care, and remind clients that it is okay to say "no".
