I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) whose motto is " Encouraged to heal; Empowered to change". I work with individuals that have become stagnant due to trauma, depression/anxiety, grief/loss, or have come to "phase of life changes" that they need assistance with navigating. I help clients to tap into their resilience, redeem their power and identify new goals to create a new narrative.
I will be transparent about my credentialing and scope of practice; building a rapport with the client to create a safe space for client to complete a biopsychosocial assessment; determine the needs of the client and discuss expectations.
My greatest strength as a provider is that I'm empathetic and down to earth; modeling behavior from personal and clinical experiences. I do my best to support clients with their goals, identifying their strengths. I provide support and insight, exploring new mindsets and perspectives.
I work best with adult (18+) clients whose diagnosis are mild to moderate and are voluntary participants; willing to engage even when it's hard.
I have 15 plus experience providing assessments and counseling to inpatient/outpatient; mental health and substance use populations applying Person-Centered (Rogerian) treatment methods to meet the individual where they are and determine their stages of change.
