Thank you for viewing my profile. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor (LPCC-S) in Ohio. I graduated with my Master's Degree from the University of Illinois, Springfield in 2017 and have experience working within the mental health field for 10 years. Through my use of humanistic therapy methods, I assist clients in identifying their authentic selves and how to activate their potential.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, clients can expect to explore their concerns through a Psycho-social inventory. We will discuss problem areas and their history. We will explore how your concerns have created disruption in areas of your life and identify potential treatment modalities. Together we will discuss goals and overall expectations of the therapeutic relationship. Clients will also be encouraged to ask questions and provide any feedback to previous counseling experiences to outline how this provider can be most helpful.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Through my extensive background working with young & emerging adults I have a strong understanding of the changes in identity and the conflict that comes from trying to live up to external expectations. I provide a non-judgemental space where my clients can truly "let it all out" without holding back. I encourage my clients to be their fully authentic self; and in cases when clients are uncertain in what that looks like I am more than honored to be that person to assist them along the way. I believe my clients truly know that I have 100% in their corner at all times and understand the importance of having the space to explore the darkness we often can find ourselves in.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

I practice through a Humanistic lens valuing the uniqueness of each individual client. Through active listening and open & honest feedback, I assist clients in identifying problem areas in their lives and how to utilize their strengths and skills to retain control over their symptoms and find balance in their life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Sometimes our thoughts and feelings become so heavy we lose sight of what we are capable of. Through the use of ACT I assist clients in focusing on what is controllable in their life and tease out the root cause of negative thoughts. Clients will engage in mindfulness strategies to build understanding of their emotions and positive self-talk to counter negative thought patterns.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Sometimes our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors create disruption in our ability to create and maintain healthy relationships. Through the use of DBT I assist clients in identifying problematic areas in their relationships while taking accountability for their own experiences and enforcing strong boundaries with their supports through assertive communication.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Not all problems require long term treatment. Through a Solution Focused approach, I assist clients in finding realistic solutions to current issues.

Trauma Informed Care

Through the use of Trauma Informed Care, clients will engage is an exploration of their history and identify ways their past experiences have impacted their present emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning.
