Hello! My name is Martha Hurtado-Garcia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, panic disorders, depression, and perinatal mood disorders. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward healing and growth. I am currently pursuing certification in perinatal mental health to deepen my ability to serve parents and families during such an important stage of life. I am also Brainspotting trained and have been incorporating this into my practice regularly. At the heart of my practice is a genuine love for helping others. I strive to meet my clients where they are, empowering them to define their own goals while walking alongside them with compassion and respect. Hablo Español!
In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and make sure you feel comfortable in the space. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it, as well as what you can expect from me along the way. It’s really about starting a conversation, exploring your goals, and making sure we’re on the same page about how we can work together.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my empathy and the importance I place on building a strong therapeutic relationship. Clients often share that they value how open and honest they can be with me, which helps create a safe and supportive space for meaningful growth and healing.
My ideal client is someone who is open to self-exploration and willing to engage in the process of personal growth, even if they feel uncertain or overwhelmed. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or navigating significant life transitions, whether in adolescence or adulthood. I believe meaningful change is possible at any stage of life, and I strive to help clients gain insight, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

As a mom of two little boys who is going through the thick of parenthood I wanted to find a professional who is relatable and makes therapy feel comfortable. Martha is very professional but also made me feel like it was just a conversation with a fellow mom friend which I loved! She’s great and I can’t wait to have another session with her.
