LCSW, 12 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello! My name is Martha Hurtado-Garcia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including perinatal depression and anxiety, major life transitions, youth concerns, and the foster care system. I am currently pursuing certification in perinatal mental health to deepen my ability to serve parents and families during such an important stage of life. At the heart of my practice is a genuine love for helping others. I strive to meet my clients where they are, empowering them to define their own goals while walking alongside them with compassion and respect.
In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and make sure you feel comfortable in the space. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it, as well as what you can expect from me along the way. It’s really about starting a conversation, exploring your goals, and making sure we’re on the same page about how we can work together.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my empathy and the importance I place on building a strong therapeutic relationship. Clients often share that they value how open and honest they can be with me, which helps create a safe and supportive space for meaningful growth and healing.
My ideal client is someone who is open to being empowered and willing to take an active role in their own healing journey. They are ready to explore their current patterns with curiosity and a desire for growth, even when the process feels challenging. A foundation of mutual respect is central to our work together, creating a safe and collaborative space where meaningful change can happen.
