Asking for help is one of the most critical steps in your journey towards wellbeing. I strive to help through this journey by creating a safe, open, and supportive environment. I am a bilingual therapist with over 15 years of experience. Together, we will explore challenges that may include past and present experiences impacting your life today. The process intends to bring ease, develop awareness, and create effective change.
During our first session I work towards building a connection, gaining understanding of your needs, and collaboratively coming up with goals to move forward in the therapeutic process. In addition to my approaches mentioned above, my approach is also influenced by being a 500hr Yoga Teacher in incorporating mindfulness tools and the importance of the mind-body connection. I am determined to work together in addressing your concerns and taking steps to a fulfilling and purposeful life.
Having worked for over 15 years with clients of all ages who have experienced traumatic and stressful experiences in their life, I am able to address the impact of these events and help build a hopeful future for my clients.
My experience includes working with clients who have experienced traumatic and stressful experiences, problems associated with self-esteem, adjustment issues, anxiety, and stress. Clients who reach out to me are looking to reduce the impact but don't know where to start. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as other trauma based treatments. I incorporate a cognitive behavioral approach to help work on thinking patterns and behaviors and incorporate trauma-informed approaches.
I have been trained in EMDR since 2015 and have used this therapy for clients who have experienced trauma.
This treatment method is the main basis for other treatment methods (such as Cognitive Processing Therapy) I use in assisting clients, specifically for trauma related treatment.
I have been trained in ACT since 2021 and it is an alternative treatment method to CBT and EMDR that I have used in my practice to assist in reducing symptoms/concerns with trauma, anxiety, and depression.
