The journey through life can be very challenging at times, causing confusion, self-doubt, depression, anxiety, fear and even anger. Are you or your child struggling with coping with a traumatic event? Are you unable to gain control of an addiction or addictive behaviors that negatively impact your life? Is your relationship struggling and you want to explore ways to improve it? Has life transitions got you stressed and unable to see things clearly? If so, congratulations on being courageous in making an important step toward discovery in a safe, non-judgmental and empowering environment. You are one step closer to a new path of opportunity for clarity, change and growth. I am a skilled, culturally sensitive, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I practice promoting positive mental health in today’s complex and diverse population. Additionally, I incorporate an integrative approach to therapy and believe the path to healing is unique to each individual. My mission is “A Clearer View to a Newer You.”

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, you can expect to engage in an initial assessment where we will discuss their primary concerns, goals, and background. This session will involve exploring your current challenges, including any anxiety, OCD symptoms, or other relevant issues. We will also review their personal history, including any significant life events or stressors. Together, we will develop a preliminary treatment plan outlining the goals for therapy and the strategies we will use. The session aims to establish a supportive therapeutic relationship and provide a clear understanding of the treatment process and expectations.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinician, some of my areas of strength include: building a strong therapeutic rapport and being non-judgemental, empathetic and open-minded. I also have had a variety of experiences working with diverse populations in multiple types of settings. This includes working in hospitals, correctional facilities, substance abuse treatment facilities and private practice.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to serve college students, women, and individuals dealing with anxiety, OCD, life transitions and stress management. My background in working with these populations allows me to offer tailored support that addresses their unique challenges. For college students, I provide guidance on managing academic stress and transitioning into adulthood. Women can benefit from my focus on addressing issues related to gender-specific stressors and life transitions. Additionally, my expertise in anxiety and OCD equips me to deliver effective interventions for those struggling with intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors, helping them build coping strategies and achieve their personal goals.

My treatment methods

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

In my practice, I specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a highly effective, evidenced based treatment for OCD and anxiety. ERP helps you gradually face feared thoughts, situations, or sensations while learning to resist the urge to engage in compulsions or avoidance. Over time, this process retrains the brain, reduces anxiety, and helps you gain confidence, freedom, and control over your life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, stress, and life challenges. CBT is practical and goal-oriented — we work together to build healthier thinking habits, improve emotional resilience, and create lasting change in how you feel and function.

Strength-Based

I take a strength-based approach, which means we focus on what’s already working within you — your resilience, values, and inner wisdom. Instead of just focusing on problems, we build on your strengths to help you navigate challenges, boost confidence, and create meaningful change aligned with your goals and identity.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my practice, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility — the ability to face life’s challenges while staying grounded in their values. ACT teaches you to accept difficult thoughts and emotions without letting them control you, and to take committed action toward a meaningful life, even in the presence of fear or discomfort.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I offer culturally sensitive therapy that honors your unique background, identity, and lived experiences. I create a safe, inclusive space where we can explore how culture, race, gender, and social context shape your story — and together, we work toward healing and growth that feels authentic and empowering to you.
