Hello! My name is Erika Behnke, I'm a Marriage & Family Therapist. Despite my title, I work solely with individuals, but thanks to my background and training, I have tons of knowledge and experience regarding relationships (dynamics, boundaries, etc), and believe that relationships of all kinds are important and critical for our well-being. That said, we'll definitely talk a lot about relationships and try and understand and strengthen them as that you can thrive.
We'll use our first session to get to know each other, build trust and familiarity, and discuss what you hope to work on an achieve in therapy. From there I can create a treatment plan just for you.
I often get feedback that I'm not your typical therapist; I'm very candid and (at times) unconventional. You'll see my personality in session, though I don't take up so much space that you know my whole life story (because YOUR therapy isn't about me!). I truly care about my clients and love what I do!
I work best with young adults who are looking to improve themselves, their relationships, and lives in general.
