Do you feel overwhelmed with negative emotions? Are you or your child struggling with mental health issues? Do you feel helpless and believe no one care or listens to you? Is your mental health dragging you down and can’t seem to find your path in life? The good news is that I am available! I am a doctorally prepared and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience in psychiatric nursing. I work with children, adolescents, and adults with depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, substance use disorders, insomnia, and psychotic disorders. I have delivered patient-centered care in inpatient and outpatient settings, including psychiatric emergency rooms, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. Together, we will do a root-cause analysis and agree on an individualized treatment plan based on an evidence-based practice model. I understand that unforeseen major life changes such as divorce, chronic pain, medical health challenges, parental separation, job loss, community violence, and adverse childhood experiences can trigger some form of mental illness. I find satisfaction in offering hope, and I look forward to helping you build the resilience to be the best version of yourself!
After meeting with me, the client will have a better understanding of the relationship between brain chemistry, physical health, psychosocial stress, life dynamics, and mental health. They will know why certain medications are selected, potential side effects, and alternate options. A 2-4 weeks follow-up session will be scheduled where we will discuss progress and further treatment needs. If the client reaches a point of stability, we will sit down and discuss how the patient can maintain stability!
Based on the individual's presentation, I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I utilize various evidence-based tools such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, HAM-A, and AUDIT-9, to assist in accurate diagnosis and good clinical outcomes!
A common complaint among patients is that they feel ignored and believe no one listens to them! I am pleased to say that you are not just a number, I see you, and I hear you! I possess excellent listening skills and look at issues holistically. I provide a safe environment without any judgment or condemnation. The journey may seem far, but help is nearer!
I see clients across the lifespan. 10 years and above, adolescents and adults
