I believe that change is always possible—even when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or stuck. I’m a licensed clinical social worker who works with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, emotional ups and downs, trauma, and relationship challenges. Many of the people I work with are doing their best to hold everything together on the outside, but inside they feel overwhelmed, overthink everything, or aren’t quite sure how to move forward. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. My approach is both supportive and practical. I draw from evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you better understand yourself while also giving you real tools you can use in your daily life. Together, we’ll work on helping you manage emotions more effectively, quiet the constant overthinking, improve your relationships, and reconnect with what truly matters to you. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes—so you can move forward with more confidence, clarity, and a renewed sense of direction.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions walking in. At New Beginnings Counseling Services, my goal in our first session is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the start. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of it. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—this is your space, and we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and any patterns you’ve been noticing. This helps me get a clearer picture of how to best support you. You can also ask me questions at any time—about the process, my approach, or anything else that’s on your mind.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I help clients feel understood while also giving them the tools and direction they need to create meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My dream client is not about a diagnosis; it is a type of person who engages, is willing to work on the challenges they are facing, and wants to continue to grow in a positive way. They are motivated for change but feel stuck, often overwhelmed by anxiety, overthinking, emotional intensity, or relationship stress. They are typically high-functioning in some areas of life (work, caregiving, responsibilities) but internally struggling.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been using DBT for years in order to support clients struggling with emotional dysregulation, interpersonal conflict, high distress levels, and impulsivity.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I integrate ACT in my clinical work, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, depression, and various life transitions and stressors. My goal is to increase psychological flexibility in order to help clients have a more meaningful and value-driven life despite their distress.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, CBT is extremely useful for clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, as well as stress from life transitions. I use CBT to support clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, challenging cognitive distorions, and developing healthier, more adaptive ways of responding to internal and external stressors.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use EFT to help clients access, process, and express underlying emotions that often drive patterns of conflict, withdrawal, or reactivity. This approach is especially effective for clients navigating relationship challenges, trauma histories, and difficulties with vulnerability or trust.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Therapy to support clients in navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and periods of feeling “stuck.” This approach is particularly effective for clients seeking practical, forward-moving strategies and measurable progress.
