Hey there! I'm Christina, and I am an LPC in CT and DE. I am passionate about supporting my clients using an integrative, creative, and holistic approach by providing a safe and non-judgmental environment for them. I incorporate mindfulness, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Logotherapy, and Psychodynamic theory in my therapeutic approach. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and conversational Malay and Bahasa Indonesia. I am influenced by cross-cultural and multicultural philosophy in my counseling approach. Throughout my career, I have worked in corporate settings, higher ed organizations, non-profit community addiction clinics, government entities, private practices, and rehab centers. At this time, I continue to create and deliver workshops and seminars at different organizations in the USA and abroad. Finding balance to thrive in different stages of our lives can be challenging, they can also push us outside of our comfort zone and our window of tolerance. It is important for us to learn to have patience and self-compassion for ourselves while we navigate these challenging times and hold ourselves accountable for our decisions. We will work together to find that balance for you so that you can thrive instead of just surviving.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will discuss what brings you here and the topics that are concerning to you. We then prioritize your concerns and set up specific goals and treatment plans to achieve these goals. We will learn specific skills each session so you can practice during the session and on your own.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I support my clients by utilizing an integrative and holistic approach incorporating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, positive psychology, and motivational interviewing in my sessions. I believe in collaborating with my clients by utilizing a strength-based and person-centered modality so that they can develop a growth mindset and have a deeper understanding of themselves as they explore new skills to make positive changes.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide a nurturing and safe environment for my clients where they can express themselves freely. I guide my clients to reconnect with their strengths and develop new ones so that they can have the skill set to manage challenges, find their balance, and thrive. My background includes the treatment of addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and mood disorders. I am a bicultural, bilingual Asian sensitive to the needs of communities of color. I work with adults at different stages and consider myself an ally of the LGBTQ community.
