20 years of experience

The one thing we share is the universal need to be heard without judgement or fear of shaming. The truth is , we have all been there , sometimes lost, sometimes angry , on top of the world then disillusioned. As much as we love our family and friends , sometimes they understand us the least. Let me help you to find the ways to cope , to understand what is going on in your life so that you can fix it. 20 years experience with every population to include adults, youth, anxiety, depression, couples, low self esteem , family issues, LGBTQI community welcome, all ethnicities and identification. I speak English and Spanish and will do my best to help and if I can’t I will refer you to someone that can. Here’s to better days , better control of self and your situation

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first session, you will be in a casual and comfortable setting where we will talk about why you think you need therapy, things about you like your current support system, your career and general questions to help me to understand you better. In addition, I'm here to answer any questions you have of me. If all goes well and you feel like you'd like me as your therapist, we will proceed to develop a treatment plan together

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My niche or speciality is being down to earth , with no holds barred or misunderstanding. Reality therapy refers to taking about the tough topics and holding ourselves responsible for what we do. I am one of you and not a stuffy clinician. I tell it like it is because I want to help you and not enable you so if you want a quiet, non responsive, non directive therapist , I am not for you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Sometimes being in crisis is caused by what and how we think about something and once you change that view, your actions will follow

Couples Counseling

I know that two people can be together but actually apart emotionally and in regard to their world view. We have family and work and other stressors that can affect our relationship and so we often need someone who can make all the noise between us make sense.

Family Therapy

I am a firm believer that what affects one, affects all

Everyone is different but we all share universal stressors and so the person/therapist to help us understand ourselves and others must be aware of cultural differences and ethnic influences on our thoughts and behavior. Respect must be had for all people regardless of our differences

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Therapy is first about you, then it's about you and finally it's about YOU
