Hi there! My name is Zaineb and I am a child and adolescent mental health counselor and licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) based in Texas. I have the honor of having over seven years experience working with children and adolescents and their families. Along with providing adolescent individual counseling, I also provide adult individual counseling and support parents and children through Child-Parent Relationship Therapy. Connecting and working with children, adolescents, individuals, parents, and families and creating a therapeutic relationship and alliance is my goal and where lasting and healing outcomes are created.
In our initial session, we will get to know more about each other in a supportive and therapeutic environment. I want to hear and understand what you are experiencing and what your goals, expectations, and concerns are from us working together. From there, we will create a treatment plan with goals for the upcoming sessions. I encourage you to ask questions about the process, my experience and background, and we can discuss any concerns or hesitations you may have about this process.
Working with individuals, children, adolescents, and families for over seven years, I am confident in the skills I have worked hard to hone over the years through experience and growth in this field of study and practice. Patience, professional skills and study, and empathy help create a space that clients feel they are safe in and can be open to allow free expression while fostering goal-setting and growth towards outcomes during the therapeutic journey.
Child Parent Relationship Therapy is key to strengthen and repair any rupture in the parent-child relationship. We focus on reducing the behavioral and emotional challenges and the stressors both parent and child. Specific skills and goals are set that help enhance and nurture the parent-child relationship.
Let's identify those unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and learn together how we can change and replace with skills learned during the therapeutic journey that benefit the child or adult. More positive and beneficial thought patterns are put in practice and replace the negative ones which in turn creates better and helpful ways to manage challenges and stress.
