Domonqe Walker
My approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and available resources. I create an open, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where thoughts and feelings can be explored freely. By considering the whole perspective of an individual, I help clients identify areas of desired change as well as the obstacles that may be holding them back. My work draws from Client-Centered Therapy, Existential and Experiential learning, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. These modalities support clients in understanding their experiences holistically, deepening self-awareness, and taking meaningful steps toward personal fulfillment.

First session
During our initial session, I focus on getting to know you and understanding your expectations for therapy. We’ll explore what you’re looking for, what you hope to gain, and what a positive therapeutic experience means to you. My goal is to build an authentic connection and provide comfort, clarity, and support from the very beginning. Toward the end of the session, we’ll establish a baseline for therapy and determine the appropriate session frequency. I prefer to set monthly goals with an action plan that supports forward movement toward your overarching objectives. I provide regular check-ins, progress monitoring, and recommendations or resources as needed. I am action‑oriented for quick, practical items and offer empathetic support for deeper developmental work.
