About me

I'm a therapist and founder of Get Psyched Therapy & Coaching, and I work almost exclusively with late-diagnosed AUDHD adults—especially parents. That specificity isn't random: I'm late-diagnosed myself, and that experience fundamentally shaped both who I am and how I practice. I know what it feels like to finally understand why things were always hard. The relief of answers mixed with grief over lost time. The weird joy of realizing you're not broken—you're wired differently. And the complicated reality of being neurodivergent while raising other humans. When you work with me, you get someone who actually gets it. Not just clinically, but because I've lived it. I meet you where you are—no shame, no pressure. I follow your pace and your interests, not a rigid format. Some sessions are deep therapeutic work. Others might involve a game or creative tool because your nervous system needs something hands-on that day. Both matter. I believe healing and growth don't have to look "normal"—they look like you. My clients often come exhausted from being told their struggles mean they're lazy or not trying hard enough. They're ready to stop masking and to be genuinely understood. They want someone in the room who recognizes that the both/and is real: you can be a neurodivergent person and a capable parent. You can struggle and be trying your absolute best. Those things coexist. I bring clinical expertise grounded in lived experience. That combination changes everything—it means I don't pathologize neurodivergence, I validate what you're carrying, and I help you build a life that actually works for how your brain works, not despite it. If you're late-diagnosed, burnt out, and ready to stop pretending, let's talk.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I'll start by asking what brought you here. Not just in a clinical way, just genuinely curious about what's happening in your life right now. I'm listening for both what you say and what matters most to you. Early on, I'm usually asking questions more than I'm offering insights. Depending on what you share, we might explore: *What's been going on lately that prompted you to reach out now *Your history with AUDHD (diagnosis timeline, how you figured it out, how it's shifted things) *What's happening in your life as a parent, if that's relevant *What you're hoping will be different I'll follow your lead. If you're someone who likes to jump right into the deep stuff, we can. If you need to warm up and talk around it first, that works too!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm late diagnosed AuDHD. This isn't theoretical for me. I know the specific disorientation of suddenly understanding why your entire life made sense in a new way. The grief. The anger at lost time. The relief mixed with "why didn't anyone catch this?" I've sat in that confusion myself, and I've rebuilt my understanding of myself from there. That matters because I don't pathologize what you're experiencing. I'm not here to help you "manage" your neurodivergence like it's a problem to solve. I'm here to help you understand yourself more clearly and build a life that actually works for how your brain works. There's a fundamental difference, and you'll feel it. I'm also trained as a Therapeutic Game Master, and I use play and creative tools because they work as therapeutic interventions. Sometimes your thinking brain needs to step back so your embodied brain can actually process things and make connections.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You're a late-diagnosed or late realised AuDHD adult, probably a parent, and you're still processing what that diagnosis means for your entire life story. You're competent in many ways—you have a job, maybe advanced degrees, you look fine from the outside. But privately, you know the truth: you're running on fumes, masking constantly, managing systems that weren't built for how your brain works. If this sounds like you, you're my person. Let's talk.

My treatment methods

Narrative

I help you to look at the stories you're currently telling yourself and helping you explore if they're true or helpful stories versus stories you've just been told about yourself over and over again.

EMDR

I am Basic Training Certified to provided EMDR therapy. This one is familiar to most people as "light-bar" therapy, where you watch a light go back and forth to process trauma.

Psychoeducation

I help you to understand psychological theories and concepts by breaking them down into easy-to-understand language.
