Hello! My name is Catherine, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in the beautiful North Georgia mountain town of Blairsville. I share my home with my dog, Bella, and a house bunny, Claire, and I am a very proud mother of two amazing daughters who also live in Georgia. I earned my degree from Argosy University in Atlanta and bring over 14 years of experience as a mental health therapist. My professional background includes extensive work in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, supporting adults facing a wide range of challenges such as PTSD and trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, addiction and concerns related to the LGBTQ+ community. I am deeply committed to providing a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, build resilience, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is both relaxed and purposeful, focusing on getting to know one another while establishing the foundation for a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. We will explore the concerns that bring you to therapy, identify your challenges and strengths, and clarify your treatment goals so we can develop an individualized plan that supports meaningful and lasting change.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
With 14 years of diverse experience as a mental health therapist, my greatest strength lies in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being met exactly where they are—emotionally and spiritually. My genuine commitment to ensuring each person feels heard, accepted, and valued fosters a strong therapeutic partnership that supports growth, healing, and meaningful change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with individuals who are motivated for change but may feel uncertain about where to begin. My ideal client is open to the therapeutic process, values collaboration, and is willing to practice new skills between sessions to support growth and lasting progress.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have over 14 years of experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in addressing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, LGBTQ+ issues, self-esteem, and adjustment-related stressors. Using these evidence-based approaches, clients gain practical tools to identify, evaluate, and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, strengthening resilience, enhancing emotional regulation, and promoting lasting, meaningful change.

As I told Catherine at the end of our first session, there were always good choices when it came to choosing a therapist but she felt like a GREAT choice from the get-go. She was wonderful and personable and so kind to me. Providing a comforting and welcoming atmosphere in her session with me. I feel very excited to go on a journey of discovery, teaching, and learning with Catherine. Thank you so much!

She was super sweet, listening to everything that I had to say. She seems like a genuine person that wants to help. It felt easy talking to her and it didn’t feel like I was gonna be judged and one of the first things she told me was to not apologize for crying which was nice to hear. Only have had one appointment so far so I’m excited to be working with her.
