In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and beginning to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I take time to learn your story—what brings you in, what challenges you’re facing, and what goals you have for therapy. We’ll also discuss what the therapeutic process looks like, explore your hopes and concerns, and begin to create a supportive and collaborative space tailored to your needs.
One of my greatest strengths is creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, seen, and heard. I bring empathy, curiosity, and cultural awareness into each session, and I tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs. I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings and with diverse populations, which has deepened my understanding and strengthened my ability to adapt to each client’s individual circumstances. I’m especially skilled at helping clients feel grounded during difficult moments and at guiding them toward practical tools for change. I am especially drawn to working with individuals navigating life transitions, such as divorce, as well as those with a history of trauma or experiencing symptoms of depression. I use evidence-based therapies and a trauma-informed approach. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the main modality I use to provide you with helpful tools so you can cope with life outside of session. I am here to help you build a toolbox for yourself. My main goal is for you to fire me eventually, because you will have learned how to manage your depression and anxiety outside our therapy sessions!
