New to Grow
Hello, and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 18 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of behavioral health settings. My background includes outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, family support, and leadership within community mental health services. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, crisis situations, and life transitions. I am trained in trauma-informed approaches and I incorporate evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT skills into treatment. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you aren't alone! My goal is to help clients feel supported, understood, and equipped with tools to move toward healing, growth, and a more balanced life.
At your first session, I want to learn about you, about what's going on, and what you would like to gain from therapy.
I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Individuals seeking support and validation for their symptoms or experiences, individuals who need assistance identifying healthy coping skills and emotional regulation, mother’s who are struggling with meeting the demands of life, women in need of perinatal support, individual's navigating career transitions, individuals exploring ways to manage a work-life balance, individuals struggling with life transitions to include high school and college
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize unhelpful thinking patterns and understand the connection between our thoughts and feelings. As we process those, we will also work to develop coping skills to support change. I also incorporate other types of treatment into session as needed.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate DBT interventions to provide validation and help support clients in managing emotions, improve coping strategies, improve relationships, and support behavioral change.
