New to Grow
I am a compassionate, experienced, and down-to-earth therapist who believes that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. With more than a decade of clinical experience working with adults facing mental health challenges, trauma, grief, chronic pain, substance use disorders, and major life transitions, I bring both professional expertise and genuine empathy to the therapeutic relationship. My work is guided by authenticity, respect, and collaboration. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and exploring difficult emotions. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I meet clients where they are while helping them recognize their strengths and develop practical tools for lasting change. My leadership experience in behavioral health has strengthened my ability to remain calm during crises, think critically, and advocate for individuals with diverse and complex needs. At the same time, my life experiences have taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of human connection. I understand that healing is rarely a straight path, and I value the courage it takes to ask for help. Clients often describe me as approachable, honest, and supportive. My goal is not only to help people overcome immediate challenges but also to empower them with the insight and confidence to build healthier relationships, navigate future obstacles, and create a life that aligns with their values and goals.
Our first session is all about getting to know each other and creating a foundation for our work together. You'll have the opportunity to share what has brought you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. I'll explain how I approach treatment, what you can expect moving forward, and together we'll develop goals that reflect your needs and support your journey toward healing and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, engaging, and grounded in honest communication. I believe that one of the most powerful aspects of therapy is being truly heard, so I prioritize active listening and creating a safe, supportive environment where you can openly share your thoughts and experiences. In addition to listening, I provide meaningful feedback, practical guidance, and thoughtful questions that encourage self-reflection and personal growth. While I am compassionate and supportive, I also believe that growth sometimes requires gentle challenges. There may be times when I respectfully push back or offer a different perspective—not to criticize, but to help you recognize patterns, expand your insight, and move toward the changes you want to make. My goal is to work alongside you as a partner in your journey, helping you build on your strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and create lasting, positive change.
I work best with adult clients who are open to the therapeutic process and willing to explore meaningful change. Whether you are navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, substance use challenges, or major life transitions, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to better understand your experiences. My approach is collaborative and client-centered. I believe that lasting growth begins with developing insight into the strengths you already possess while identifying behaviors, coping strategies, and thought patterns that may no longer serve you. Together, we will examine these patterns, build healthier ways of responding to life's challenges, and create practical strategies that align with your personal goals and values. I am particularly well-positioned to serve adults who are motivated to heal, improve their emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and develop greater resilience. Whether your goal is to process loss, recover from trauma, manage mental health symptoms, address substance use concerns, or simply gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I strive to create a safe and compassionate environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward.
