New to Grow
You don't have to figure it all out on your own. Maybe lately you haven't felt like yourself. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your thoughts, exhausted from trying to keep up with everything, or struggling with motivation. Perhaps anxiety is making everyday situations feel harder than they should, or you're dealing with depression, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or a major life transition and aren't sure how to move forward. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals and families facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges, including crisis situations, suicidal thoughts, family conflict, and significant life changes. My experience has taught me that there isn't one approach that works for everyone. I meet clients where they are and work collaboratively to understand what they're experiencing and what they need. My approach is warm, compassionate, and practical. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment-based therapy, compassion-focused therapy, DBT-informed strategies, Motivational Interviewing, and family therapy to help clients better understand themselves, manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and develop practical tools for navigating challenges. Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. You don't need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you begin. If you've been thinking about reaching out, I'd be happy to meet you where you are and help you take the next step toward feeling more like yourself again.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. I’ll also use this time to learn more about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of treatment. As part of the intake process, I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, your history, relationships, and what has been going on in your life. This helps me better understand your needs and determine how I can best support you moving forward You don’t need to prepare anything or have all the answers. Think of our first session as a conversation where we can begin getting to know one another, identify what you’d like to work on, and start creating a plan for therapy that feels right for you.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to adapt to each client's individual needs. I don't believe therapy should look the same for everyone, and I take the time to understand what works best for you, your goals, and where you are in your life. I bring a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to each session while also providing the right amount of challenge when it can help you grow. I want you to feel heard and supported, but I also believe that meaningful change sometimes requires gently pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to take risks, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
My ideal client is someone who knows they want something to change, even if they're not quite sure where to start. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from yourself and are ready to better understand what's holding you back. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. What matters most to me is that you're ready to take that first step and willing to take the plunge together. I'll meet you where you are, and we'll work collaboratively to identify your goals, build on your strengths, and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable for you.
I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how their past experiences and relationships may be influencing the way they see themselves and connect with others today. Together, we explore relationship patterns, emotional needs, and the ways you respond when you feel hurt, rejected, overwhelmed, or disconnected. My goal is to help you develop healthier ways of communicating, managing emotions, and building relationships while feeling more secure and confident in yourself.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When anxiety or depression takes over, it can be easy to get caught in negative thought patterns, self-doubt, overthinking, or behaviors that keep you feeling stuck. Together, we’ll identify those patterns and work on developing more balanced ways of thinking and practical strategies for handling difficult emotions and situations. My goal is to help you feel more in control, build confidence in yourself, and make meaningful changes that carry into your everyday life.
I use a compassion-focused approach to help clients develop a kinder and more understanding relationship with themselves. Many people struggling with anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem are much harder on themselves than they would ever be on someone they care about. Together, we’ll work on recognizing self-critical thought patterns, understanding where they come from, and learning how to respond to yourself with greater patience and compassion. My goal is not to simply help you “think positively,” but to help you feel more secure, confident, and capable of navigating difficult emotions and life’s challenges without constantly feeling like you’re failing or falling short.
I use DBT-informed strategies to help clients better understand and manage intense emotions. When emotions feel overwhelming, it can be difficult to know how to respond without becoming stuck in patterns that leave you feeling worse. Together, we’ll work on practical skills for managing emotions, coping with stress, improving relationships, and staying grounded during difficult moments. My goal is to help you feel more in control and confident in your ability to handle life’s challenges.
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients work through uncertainty and find their own reasons for making meaningful change. Whether you're feeling stuck, unmotivated, or unsure about what you want, we’ll explore your goals, values, and what may be getting in the way without judgment or pressure. My role is to support you in identifying your own strengths and building the confidence to take steps toward the changes you want to make.
