Hi there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with degrees from Texas Christian University and UT at Arlington. I've been providing assessment and therapy for the past 11 years. I've focused on mental health treatment for children & families, adults, individuals with chemical dependency, and couples across multiple clinical settings. My expertise spans psychotherapy, crisis intervention and case management. My passion is helping people gain insight into their lives, untangle their relationship troubles, and provide a safe space to learn about yourself.
During an initial therapy session, I offer an introduction into my perspective and skillset and then we're able to dive into the most pertinent concerns my client is experiencing and the specific goals they're striving towards. Through learning more about the areas of my client's life, I'm able to create an individualized treatment plan for moving forward.
Through therapy, I provide an alternate perspective, a safe therapeutic space, empathic active listening, and help to grow hope in clients who are wishing to see change in their lives. Through my years of clinical experience, I've learned how to help a client identify their strengths, recognize maladaptive patterns and habits, and help clients feel comfortable in the therapy setting.
For over a decade, I have provided therapy and assessment across multiple levels of care for children and families. I utilize evidence-based techniques such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and provide trauma-informed care. I help clients reach their full potential by helping evaluate their thoughts, regulate emotions, and initiate change in behaviors.
