I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over eight years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults.

Mental health care should never feel one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand your experiences, identify what’s contributing to your symptoms, and develop a treatment plan that fits your individual needs.

I specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), fertility and reproductive mental health, and substance use disorders. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their mental health. Whether you are seeking treatment for the first time or returning to care, I am committed to helping you achieve lasting emotional wellness and an improved quality of life.

First session

During your first appointment, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, exploring your symptoms, mental health history, medical history, and treatment goals. I take a personalized approach to psychiatric care, with particular attention to the emotional and psychological challenges associated with infertility, fertility treatments, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. Together, we will discuss diagnostic impressions and evidence-based treatment options, including medication management when appropriate. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and confident in your treatment plan.

Strengths

I bring a compassionate, thorough, and individualized approach to psychiatric care. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, I specialize in psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management. I believe effective psychiatric treatment involves more than prescribing medication. It requires understanding each patient’s symptoms, medical history, personal experiences, and treatment goals. My clinical interests include depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma-related conditions, and women’s mental health, including reproductive and postpartum mental health. I prioritize patient education, shared decision-making, and evidence-based treatment to help individuals achieve greater emotional stability and improved daily functioning.

Ideal clients

My ideal patients are adults seeking compassionate, individualized psychiatric care and medication management for depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma-related conditions, and other mental health concerns. I have a special interest in women’s reproductive mental health, including infertility, IVF and fertility treatments, pregnancy, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). I understand that navigating reproductive challenges, hormonal changes, and major life transitions can significantly affect emotional well-being. I work with individuals who want to better understand their symptoms, explore evidence-based medication options, and take an active role in their psychiatric treatment. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their mental health.

Origin story

My passion for mental health care comes from a desire to help individuals better understand their mental health and improve their overall quality of life. Throughout my clinical career, I have witnessed the profound impact that untreated psychiatric conditions can have on emotional well-being, relationships, and daily functioning. This inspired me to pursue advanced education and specialize in psychiatric care, with a focus on comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic clarification, and evidence-based medication management. I am passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health treatment and helping patients feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care.

Ongoing work together

Our ongoing appointments will focus on medication management, monitoring treatment response, and making adjustments as clinically appropriate. We will regularly assess your symptoms, medication effectiveness, potential side effects, and overall functioning. Treatment is individualized, with special consideration for life transitions, including fertility treatments, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. Progress is measured through symptom improvement, emotional stability, daily functioning, and your personal treatment goals. My priority is to provide consistent, collaborative psychiatric care that supports your long-term mental health and well-being.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into psychiatric medication management to help patients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence their mental health. During appointments, I may provide education and practical strategies to support symptom management, emotional regulation, and healthier coping skills. My primary focus is psychiatric evaluation and medication management rather than ongoing structured psychotherapy. When appropriate, I encourage patients to engage in psychotherapy alongside medication treatment for a more comprehensive approach to mental health care.
