Maima is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Psychology from The University of Rhode Island in 2010, then went on to get her Master’s in Nursing from Drexel University, graduating as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Maima have worked in variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as telemedicine. For 5 years, she has care for and provided psychotropic medication management to children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a variety of settings including hospital, outpatient, nursing home and state psychiatric facilities. She has dedicated much of her career to working with individuals with depression, adjustment disorders, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, bipolar disorder, insomnia, schizophrenia, ADHD, and major neurocognitive disorders. Maima is passionate about bringing mental healthcare via telemedicine services to those who might not otherwise receive it. She believe in integrative and patient centered care. Maima is also passionate about integrating her new found love for fitness into mental health as many psychotropics cause weight gain. Maima live in Georgia with fiancé and her dog. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, exploring new places and watching football games.
